Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 0-4-0-0, 0 points, Fifth Place in West Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, lost its first two home games of the season last week. The Wild suffered a 4-3 loss against the Admirals in front of 8,102 fans at Wells Fargo Arena (10/17). C Jordan Schroeder led the team with two assists. Forwards Curt Gogol, Zack Mitchell and Brett Sutter each scored for Iowa. G Johan Gustafsson allowed four goals on eight shots in 21:50 minutes of play while G John Curry stopped all 15 shots faced in 37:26 minutes of relief. Iowa was shutout 4-0 in its second match against Milwaukee on Saturday (10/18). Gustafsson stopped 20-of-24 shots. Schroeder leads the Wild with five points (0-5=5) and ranks T-7th in the AHL in scoring. F Tyler Graovac ranks second on the team with four points (1-3=4) while D Jonathon Blum (1-2=3) and F Michael Keranen (1-2=3) rank T-3rd with three points. Gustafsson is 0-3-0 with a 4.70 GAA and a .845 SV% in three games and Curry is 0-1-0 with a 2.51 GAA and a .922 SV% in two games. The Wild will continue its four-game homestand with back-to-back games against the Charlotte Checkers on Friday and Saturday.

Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded four points (1-3=4) and a plus-5 rating on Oct. 18 against Portland.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks tied for fourth amongst defensemen on the team with two assists.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied an assist, plus-2 rating and seven penalty minutes in three games.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded two assists in two games as Sudbury went 0-2-0 in those contests.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered an assist and two penalty minutes in three games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota in September and currently ranks fourth on the Raiders in penalty minutes.

College/USHL/High School

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded two points (1-1=2) and a plus-3 rating in two games as Miami won its home-and-home weekend series against Ohio State and scored his first collegiate goal against Tommy Burke in Miami’s 3-2 win vs. Bowling Green (10/12).

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied two penalty minutes as Michigan split its weekend series against New Hampshire.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten): Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft missed first two games of the season recovering from a lower-body injury.

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft is in his second season with Boston College.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota scored four goals in two games as Notre Dame won its weekend series vs. Lake Superior State. He also netted his first collegiate hat trick on Saturday Oct. 18.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensseleaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded his first collegiate point with an assist as Rensselaer lost its weekend series at Denver.

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft had two shots in two games as the Mavericks won their weekend series at Western Michigan.

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft registered three points (2-1=3), two penalty minutes and a plus-5 rating in two games as the Bulldogs went 1-0-1 in their home-and-home series against Minnesota State

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft scored his first collegiate goal against Mike Rotolo in Boston College’s 6-2 win over RIT (10/18).

Europe

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft recorded three points (2-1=3) with a plus-3 rating in three games.

Goaltenders

Alexandre Belanger - Rouyn-Noranda (QMJHL): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft won both starts last week and is currently on a three-game winning streak. He ranks first amongst goalies in the QMJHL in GAA, third in SV%, T-4th in shutouts and T-6th in wins.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft has yet to open his season with Harvard, and will do so on November 1 against Dartmouth.
