Iowa Wild 2015-16 Record: 2-4-1, 6 points, 6th Place In Central Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, went 1-2-0 in three games last week. The Wild dropped the first contest, 3-2, against Rockford on Wednesday at BMO Harris Bank Center (10/21). F Jordan Schroeder led the team with two assists, while D Maxime Fortunus and F Christoph Bertschy each netted a goal. G Jeremy Smith stopped 36-of-39 shots.

The Wild won its first game on home ice, defeating the Texas Stars 3-2 on Saturday (10/24). F Michael
Keranen (1-1=2) and Bertschy (0-2=2) each led Iowa with two points. G Leland Irving earned the win with 29 saves. The Wild suffered a 4-1 loss in its final game of the week against the Stars on Sunday in Iowa (10/25). F Matt Carey scored the team’s lone goal with assists from Bertschy and F Andrew Yogan while Smith made 37-of-41 saves.

Bertschy ranks T-6th in the AHL in rookie scoring and leads the Wild with six points (2-4=6) in eight games. Schroeder (2-3=5) and Keranen (2-3=5) rank T-2nd with five points. Irving is 2-0-1 with a 1.60 GAA, .951 SV% and one shutout in three games and ranks fourth in the league in SV% and fifth in GAA. Smith is 0-4-1 with a 3.38 GAA and a .919 SV% in five games and ranks first in the AHL with 192 saves. The Wild plays three games this week traveling to Rockford on Friday and hosting Milwaukee on Saturday and the IceHogs on Sunday.

D Gustav Bouramman - Sault Ste. Marie (OHL): Tallied three assists in two games last week...Ranks T-1st on the Greyhounds in assists and leads Sault Ste. Marie defensemen in scoring...Minnesota’s seventh-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): Registered a goal in three games last week...Ranks T-1st in the WHL with two game-winning goals, T-3rd in goals and T-5th in plus/minus rating...Leads the Wheat Kings in goals, fourth in plus/minus rating and T-5th in points...Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Tanner Faith - Moose Jaw (WHL): Recorded four penalty minutes in three games...Leads the Warriors in penalty minutes and ranks T-1st amongst defensemen in goals and third in scoring...Acquired by Moose Jaw from the Kootenay Ice (9/23)...Minnesota’s fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Totaled three points (2-1=3) and four penalty minutes in three games last week, extending his point streak to four games (2-2=4)...Ranks T-3rd on Sudbury in goals...Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

C Chase Lang - Vancouver (WHL): Traded to the Vancouver Giants from Calgary on Tuesday (10/27)...Registered seven points (2-5=7) and 20 penalty minutes in 14 games with the Hitmen...Recorded six points (2-4=6) in eight games (10/2-10/18)...Minnesota’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL): Tallied an assist, a plus-two rating and two penalty minutes in two games last week...Ranks second on the team amongst defensemen in assists, T-2nd in scoring and fourth in penalty minutes during his second season with Prince Albert...Signed as a free agent with the Wild, September 23, 2014.

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University (NCHC): Recorded two assists in Miami’s 5-3 loss at St. Lawrence (10/24)...T-1st on the RedHawks in penalty minutes, T-2nd in assists and ranks fourth in scoring...Named an alternate captain (9/29)...Minnesota’s third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

D Nicholas Boka - University of Michigan (Big-10): Michigan went 1-0-1 in two games last weekend...Tallied his first collegiate point with an assist in the Wolverines 3-2 win vs. Mercyhurst (10/18)...Wild’s sixth-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic (ECAC): The Engineers dropped their third consecutive game with a 5-2 loss vs. Michigan (10/24)...Wild’s seventh-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.

C Avery Peterson - University of Nebraska-Omaha (NCHC): Tallied two shots on goal in the Mavericks’ 4-2 win vs. Air Force (10/23)...Nebraska-Omaha continues its winning streak to six games and is the only NCHC team to not have suffered a loss this season... GOALTENDERS

Kaapo Kahkonen - Blues (SM-Liiga): Went 1-0-1 in two games last week, stopping 54-of-57 shots...Leads the league amongst rookie goaltenders in GAA (10th overall) and in SV% (seventh overall)...Recorded his first shutout of the season, making all 27 saves (9/30)...Wild’s fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.

Ales Stezka - Sioux Falls (USHL): Made 32 saves to earn his third win of the season at Cedar Rapids (10/24)...Ranks fourth in the league with a 174 saves and T-8th in wins and in minutes played...Earned his first USHL win, stopping 19-of-22 shots in the Stampede’s 5-3 victory over Sioux City (9/26)...Minnesota’s fourth-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
