Iowa Wild 2014-15 Record: 15-29-1-1, 32 points, Fifth Place in West Division

The Iowa Wild, Minnesota Wild’s American Hockey League affiliate, dropped three home games last week. The Wild lost 6-0 to the Grand Rapids Griffins on Thursday (1/29). G Darcy Kuemper earned the loss with 23 saves in two periods while G John Curry made nine-of-10 saves in relief during the third. Iowa suffered a 2-1 loss against Hamilton on Friday (1/30). D Guillaume Gelinas scored the sole goal with assists from D Brad Richard and F Marc Hagel while Kuemper stopped 27-of-29 shots. The Wild fell, 5-3, on Saturday in its second match against the Bulldogs (1/31). F Tyler Graovac (1-1=2) and F Jordan Schroeder (0-2=2) led Iowa with two points each. F Zach Mitchell and F Michael Keranen netted a goal apiece and Curry made 32 saves. Graovac leads the team in scoring with 33 points (16-17=33) in 43 games. Keranen ranks second with 29 points (7-22=29) and Schroeder ranks third with 28 points (10-18=28). Curry is 8-10-0 with a 2.78 GAA and a .917 SV% in 21 games. Kuemper is 0-2-0 with a 4.23 GAA and a .877 SV% in two games. The Wild begins a four-game road trip with three stops this week visiting Adirondack (Wed.), Hamilton (Fri.) and Toronto (Sat.).


Canadian Hockey Leagues

C Reid Duke - Brandon (WHL): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded two goals, a plus-3 rating and four PIM in two games last week.

D Tanner Faith - Kootenay (WHL):
Minnesota's fifth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft is expected to miss the remainder of the season due to an upper body injury.

D Dylan Labbe - Shawinigan (QMJHL): The fourth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied two assists and two PIM in two games last week.

C Pavel Jenys - Sudbury (OHL): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered three points (1-2=3) and two PIM in three games last week.

C Chase Lang - Calgary (WHL): The sixth-round pick for Minnesota in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft registered a goal and four PIM in two games last week.

D Hunter Warner - Prince Albert (WHL):
The defensemen signed a three-year, entry-level contract with Minnesota is expected to miss the rest of the season due to shoulder surgery.

D Louis Belpedio - Miami University of Ohio (NCHC):
Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft tallied two PIM in Miami’s 4-3 shootout win at Western Michigan (1/31).

D Nolan De Jong - Michigan (Big Ten): The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft has five assists in 18 games this season.

D John Draeger - Michigan State (Big Ten):
Minnesota's third-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft registered a shot on goal in Michigan State’s win over Michigan (1/30).

C Adam Gilmour - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's fourth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft had two assists and a plus-2 rating in two games last week.

LW Mario Lucia - Notre Dame (Hockey East): The second-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft for Minnesota tallied a goal and two shots in two games as Notre Dame split its weekend series vs. New Hampshire.

LW Louis Nanne - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (ECAC): Minnesota's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft recorded three shots on goal in Rensselaer’s 3-1 loss at Dartmouth (1/30).

C Avery Peterson - Nebraska Omaha (NCHC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft was named NCHC Rookie of the Month for January, totaling eight points in six games (5-3=8) (2/3).

D Carson Soucy - Minnesota Duluth (NCHC): Minnesota's fifth-round selection in 2013 NHL Entry Draft tallied an assist and a plus-2 rating in two games as Minnesota Duluth split its weekend series at Denver.

RW Alex Tuch - Boston College (Hockey East): The Wild's first-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft recorded two points (1-2=2), a plus-3 rating and four PIM in two games last week.

C Christoph Bertschy - SC Bern (Swiss): Minnesota's sixth-round selection in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft netted a goal in two games last week.

D Pontus Sjalin - Leksands J20 (Super Elit): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft has two goals and 13 assists in 24 games this season.

Alexandre Belanger - Cape-Breton (QMJHL):
The Wild's seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft made 33 saves in his sole game last week as the Screaming Eagles lost 3-1 at Halifax (1/30).

Kaapo Kahkonen - TUTO Turku (Mestis): Minnesota's fourth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft ranks third in the league in SV% and fifth in GAA...Finland’s third goalie during the 2015 IIHF World Juniors.

Steve Michalek - Harvard (ECAC): The Wild's sixth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft set a career-high with 63 saves in the Crimson’s 4-3 double overtime loss to Boston University (2/3). The 63 saves set a Harvard and Beanpot record for most saves in a single game.
