Over the last few seasons, Wild.com wanted help from fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last season, Zach Parise’s stellar wrister against Calgary won top honors, defeating Mikko Koivu’s tic-tap-tip-in play against Winnipeg.
Jason Zucker fed Jared Spurgeon with a perfect pass from behind the net, setting up the defenseman for a solid chance in the circle to go top shelf on Alex Stalock.
Next up is Jason Zucker, who scored two goals against Toronto. His second goal of the night is the one up for top honors this week though. Charlie Coyle picked up the puck at the red line and drew two defenders with him while Zucker sped past his defenseman to tap home Coyle’s pass.
Finally, Jason Pominville’s blast from the top of the circle against Chicago while on a 5-on-3 rounds out the top plays vote this week.
Take your pick for your favorite Wild play of the past week.
