The Minnesota Wild announced today the team has created an official Wild Playoff Survival Kit for fans, with proceeds benefiting the Minnesota Wild Foundation. The kit contains a variety of playful items designed to help fans “survive” the anticipated intensity of the 2015 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs.
“Nothing is more exciting or adrenaline-inducing than the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs,” said John Maher, Wild vice president of brand content and communications. “We want to do all we can to keep Wild fans energized and revitalized for each playoff game as we embark on our quest for the Stanley Cup.”
Survival kits include: the official playoff rally towel the Wild traditionally sets on each seat at playoff games at Xcel Energy Center, a squeezable foam “stress puck,” a pair of Wild-branded sunglasses, a window cling, can koozie, face paint, Jack Link’s Jerky, and ice blue throat lozenges to soothe voices that might be hoarse from cheering. 2015 Wild playoff presenting partner SuperAmerica has included a coupon for a free cup of SuperMom’s Coffee for those who need to recharge their “cheer batteries” after late-night games. Wild captain Mikko Koivu has also provided a “permission slip” for fans to request a couple of hours of extra rest the morning after a late game.
Kits are $20 and may be purchased at various team playoff events including the Wild Pep Rally on Thursday, April 16 at Rice Park (11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m.) and that evening at the playoff viewing party at Xcel Energy Center (gates open at 7:30 p.m.). A limited number are available.
The Minnesota Wild will face the St. Louis Blues in the First Round of the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs, beginning Thursday, April 16 at 8:30 p.m. (CT) at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. The Wild will host Game 3 on Monday, April 20, at 7 p.m. and Game 4 on Wednesday, April 22, at 8:30 p.m. at Xcel Energy Center.
