The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild announced today that 95% of its season ticket holders have renewed their seats for the 2006-07 season and capped its season ticket sales at 16,500.
In addition, the Wild announced corporate partnership renewals with Anheuser-Busch, Treasure Island and Wells Fargo and several new corporate partnership agreements including Jack Links, Polaroid and Toyota.
Minnesota also announced the following Xcel Energy Center fan enhancements for the upcoming season:
· Upgraded televisions on suite, club and press box levels
· New high-speed point of sale system that allows for more flexible credit card use by fans in the arena
· Hockey Lodge suite cart
· Enhanced premium seating entrance at Gate 5
· Polaroid Fun Photo Zone
The Wild will offer approximately 2,000 tickets per game for all contests at Xcel Energy Center. Over 7,500 people are currently on the Wild Warming House season ticket holder waiting list. To become a Minnesota Wild season ticket deposit holder, a non-refundable $100.00 deposit is required for each season ticket. Minnesota has sold-out every home game in franchise history, posting sellouts in 228 consecutive contests (205 regular season, 15 preseason, eight playoff). The total attendance for the Wild’s first five seasons stands at 4,232,348 for an average of 18,562 fans per game. The official capacity of Xcel Energy Center for hockey games is 18,064.
