The Wild showed plenty of it tonight, coming back after a road loss last night in Dallas, to take down the defending Stanley Cup champs. Zach Parise, Mikko Koivu and Matt Cullen scored in the shootout, propelling the Minnesota Wild to a come-from-behind 4-3 win over the Los Angeles Kings at Xcel Energy Center on Saturday night.
Parise's goal 8:06 into the third period sent the game into overtime tied 3-3. After a scoreless five-minute period, Parise scored on a forehand deke and Koivu on a backhander in the first two rounds of the shootout.
