Minnesota Wild fans, and burger fans in general, have a new menu item to taste. Wendy’s has launched the Minnesota Wild Bacon Cheeseburger, and in doing so, has helped Minnesota Hockey. With every purchase of the burger, which featured pepper jack cheese and smoky southwest pepper sauce, Wendy’s will donate $.25 to Minnesota Hockey and the Hockey Education Program at the end of the Wild season.
The mouth-watering sandwich will be available through March at Minnesota Wendy’s location.
“Partnering with the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Hockey is something we’re very excited about,” said Paul Broten, Director of Marketing for FourCrown, Inc., the local Wendy’s franchisee. “We’re proud to offer the Minnesota Wild Bacon Cheeseburger to our customers and equally proud that this menu option will help support youth hockey in Minnesota.”
In conjunction with the burger launch, Wendy’s is also announcing the Game Day Sweepstakes, where Minnesota and Wisconsin youth teams can register to win 30 tickets to a select 2006-2007 Minnesota Wild home game, as well as the opportunity to participate in an on-ice intermission game and a full our of ice time at the Xcel Energy Center. Entry forms can be picked up and dropped off at participating Wendy’s locations. Entrants must be between the ages of 8 and 15.
Get into Wendy’s today, to enjoy this tasty treat, and to support those who support hockey in Minnesota.
