Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Plays each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen and looking for fans to vote for the Ri-DQ-ulous Play of the Week.
The Week 6 winner was Mikko Koivu's Quick Snipe against the Edmonton Oilers.
This week, we have a first in a Minnesota sweater, a pretty sweet feed and a dominant shift from a youngster that led to a big goal. Up first is Ryan Suter's first goal in a Wild uniform against the Chicago Blackhawks. The defenseman goes post and in on the power play. Next, we have a veteran finding a youngster, as Matt Cullen slips a pass to Jason Zucker for a tap in goal against the Vancouver Canucks. Finally, Charlie Coyle goes beast mode against the Canucks, which leads to a Zach Parise goal.
