Last year, Wild.com wanted help from our fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help us select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Plays each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. We had so much fun, we're going to do it again this year.
This season, we're getting help selecting the top play each week from our friends at Dairy Queen and looking for fans to vote for the Ri-DQ-ulous Play of the Week. The Week 3 winner was Devin Setoguchi's overtime winner against Nashville.
This week, we have a wicked backhander, a game saver and an NHL first. First up is Mikko Koivu's backhand shelf against the Colorado Avalanche. The next play up is Niklas Backstrom's post-to-post pad save in overtime against the Avs. The final play nominated is Jason Zucker's first-career NHL goal against the Detroit Red Wings.
