Over the last few seasons, Wild.com wanted help from fans in the State of Hockey and beyond to help select the Top Play of the Year. To do so, we needed you to pick the Top Play each week, so we could pit them against each other in the offseason in a single-elimination tournament. Last season, Zach Parise’s stellar wrister against Calgary won top honors, defeating Mikko Koivu’s tic-tap-tip-in play against Winnipeg.
Last week, Parise's goal during Minnesota's home opener won by a landslide against Ryan Suter and Jason Zucker.
This week Jason Zucker, Darcy Kuemper and Niklas Backstrom go up against one another. Zucker's speed played to his benefit as he zooms down the boards and fires a shot past Frederik Andersen from the circle. Kuemper's show-stopping paddle save topped a lot of highlight reels this past week when he stunned Anaheim with his save. Backstrom joins the group with this stellar stretching save to keep the Wild-Kings game close.
