Wild.com here, standing in for Ryan Stanzel, who, in the midst of a marathon trip to Alberta (Calgary and Edmonton), British Colombia (Vancouver), and the West Coast of the United States (San Jose, Los Angeles and Anaheim), is likely trying to enjoy a rare day off in the jewel of a city that is Vancouver.

The most significant development today, however, comes out of Vail, Colo., where, according to Assistant General Manager/Hockey Ops Tom Lynn, Marian Gaborik passed his test, which showed that his hip is "mechanically repaired" and healed well.

Lynn also announced that Gaborik will return to Minnesota, where he will "ramp up to game-ready condition."

Stay tuned to Wild.com for more on Gaborik's return as it develops.
