Skills Competition Schedule Released

The National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild today announced the details surrounding the 2010 Skills Competition presented by Treasure Island Resort and Casino, a fan orientated skills event featuring Wild players on Sunday, Jan. 24 at Xcel Energy Center. The 2010 Skills Competition will feature a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) men’s hockey game between Gustavus Adolphus College and Saint John’s University starting at 10:00 a.m. Gate 1 (southeast corner of Xcel Energy Center off of Kellogg Boulevard) will open to the public at 9:45 a.m.

Tickets for the 2010 Minnesota Wild Skills Competition are on sale now at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office and all Ticketmaster ( locations or charge by phone by calling (800) 745-3000. General admission tickets are $10.00 in advance or $15.00 if purchased on January 24. Minnesota Wild season ticket holders will receive a complimentary ticket to the Skills Competition for each season ticket on their account. Proceeds will benefit the Minnesota Wild Foundation.

2010 Wild Skills Competition Schedule

10:00 AM - Gustavus vs. St. John's Men's Hockey Game

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM - Wild Player Autographs

10:00 AM - 2:30 PM - Photo Opportunities with Stanley Cup, Hockey Fun Zone, Silent Auction and Raffle

1:00 - 2:30 PM - Wild Skills Competition
Minnesota Wild players will be situated at different autograph stations and sign autographs beginning at 10:30 a.m. A $10 autograph ticket must be purchased at each autograph station. Autograph tickets will be distributed to the first 250 fans in line at each station only.

Following the Gustavus vs. Saint John’s hockey game at Xcel Energy Center, Wild players will participate in the Skills Competition starting at approximately 1:00 p.m. Skills Competition events will include: Accuracy Shooting, Hardest Shot, King of the Shootout, Puck Control Relay and Rapid Fire. All fans in attendance will also be able to participate in interactive hockey games, photo opportunities with the Stanley Cup, a silent auction, raffle and grab bags featuring Minnesota Wild autographed merchandise.
