Ryan Suter Named Community Ambassador For Ronald McDonald House

by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild

Minnesota Wild defenseman Ryan Suter and his wife, Becky, are proud to announce they will serve as official ambassadors at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest serves nearly 4,000 families throughout their three Twin Cities locations. Families staying at the Ronald McDonald House are never required to pay for services which include lodging, meals, schooling and activities. The non-profit organization provides a home away from home that keeps families together when children are in need of special care. With no government support, the Ronald McDonald House relies on the generosity of the community for funding.

“Becky and I couldn’t be more excited to serve as ambassadors for Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest,” said Suter. “There is nothing more important to us than family which is why we jumped at the opportunity to help a great organization that keeps families together during difficult times. We look forward to being active members and doing our part to help grow the Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest.”

The Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest celebrated their 35th anniversary in 2014. The program has grown from serving nearly 400 families to nearly 4,000 families each year.

“All of us at Ronald McDonald House Charities Upper Midwest are excited and honored that Ryan and Becky Suter will be joining our team as official community ambassadors,” said John Stanoch, President/CEO. “Ryan and Becky will help us raise awareness about our work to provide a home away from home for families during a child's serious illness and inform our community on what they can do to help us help families.”
