Ever wonder how an arena is transformed from a concert to a hockey game in a few hours?
This past November, a film crew from DIY Network’s new series “Project Xtreme” captured an up-close-and-personal look at the incredible transformation process at Xcel Energy Center. The crew followed the production team, along with show host Matt Blashaw, as they set-up the Coldplay concert from reaches as high as 130 ft. and worked through the night to convert the arena back to an ice rink in time for Wild hockey. The episode will air worldwide on Tuesday, April 14 at 9 p.m. CT on DIY Network.

ABOUT “PROJECT XTREME”: “Project Xtreme” is a new television series on DIY Network that profiles interesting and demanding jobs that are often mentally and physically challenging, sometimes dangerous, or require extraordinary precision. No project is too massive, too dangerous or too jaw-dropping to prevent licensed contractors Matt Blashaw or Jason Cameron from attempting it. Other episodes depict Jason scaling the side of the Queensboro Bridge and Matt hanging out of a helicopter hauling air conditioning units in downtown Chicago. These are not your everyday DIY projects. These are projects truly taken to the extreme.
