'No Name' kids of the year

by Staff Writer / Minnesota Wild
The No Name® brand of Premium Meats and Seafood is looking for one boy and one girl to represent the “State of Hockey”. On Monday, October 27th, No Name® and the Minnesota Wild kick off the Second Annual No Name® Hockey Kid of the Year™ contest.

Hockey parents this is your opportunity tell us in 100 words or less why your kid deserves to be the No Name® Hockey Kid of the Year™! Based on these essays, six finalists and their families will be chosen to attend the Minnesota Wild home game on February 8th. During a pre-game ceremony two of the finalists will be chosen to receive the Grand Prize, including a road trip to a Minnesota Wild road game, autographed jersey and much more.

Kids ages  5 to 18 are eligible for contest entry and will be judged based on their sportsmanship, school performance, community service and their “State of Hockey” contributions. The contest begins on October 27th, 2008, and all entries must be received by January 3rd, 2009.

To find out how your child could win this distinguished honor, visit the No Name® display at your local grocery story or enter online at www.nonamehockeykid.com. The contest is limited to residents of Minnesota and Wisconsin. Official rules can be found at www.nonamehockeykid.com.
