The NHL has announced the cancellation of its September preseason games.
The Minnesota Wild had four preseason games scheduled in the month of September, including two home games at Xcel Energy Center. The cancellation of the schedule was necessary because of the absence of a Collective Bargaining Agreement between the NHL Players’ Association and the NHL.
The club’s three remaining preseason games are still scheduled: Oct. 2 versus Winnipeg; Oct. 4 at Winnipeg; and Oct. 6 at Calgary.
Minnesota was scheduled to play two home-and-home series against Western Conference opponents in September. The Wild were scheduled to play its first preseason game in the state of Idaho, against the Stars on Tuesday Sept. 25 at CenturyLink Arena in Boise. The rest of the Wild's cancelled games include a home match versus Dallas on Sept. 26, at home against the St. Louis Blues and at St. Louis on Sept. 29.
