Foucault, Scandella Coming Up

by Glen Andresen / Minnesota Wild

Last week, the Minnesota Wild put Clayton Stoner on injured reserve with a lower body injury, and placed Brad Staubitz on waivers, eventually assigning him to the Houston Aeros. That opened up two roster spots, and those spots will now be filled by two more callups from the Houston Aeros.

The Wild has recalled forward Kris Foucault and defenseman Marco Scandella, and both will be on the ice at today's Wild practice. In his first professional season, Foucault has played 47 games with the Aeros this season, notching 10 goals and 13 assists for 23 points to rank fifth on the team in scoring.

Scandella started this season with the Wild and enjoyed a promising start to the season, but eventually struggled and was sent to Houston to rediscover his game. He appears to have done that, notching two goals and three assists and a +4 rating in nine games.

If Foucault gets into the lineup on Tuesday against Anaheim, he'll be the 39th player to don a Wild uniform this year, one off the franchise record of 40 last season.
