Fantasy Spotlight: Kyle Brodziak

Former Edmonton Oiler Kyle Brodziak has been perhaps the most under-the-radar player on the Wild all season, but he seems to shine in contests against his previous team. The native of St. Paul, Alta., has five points (3-2=5) in five games against his hometown squad this season and also has a five-game point streak against the Oil.

The 26-year-old is one of the most underrated players on the Wild, providing a solid defense at the center position, battling in the opponent's zone and setting up his linemates for quick scoring chances. Even if Brodziak's play is most impressive by watching him work on the ice instead of just reading the stat line, you can't ignore the fact that he has established career highs this season in goals and points. Brodziak has tallied 36 points (16-20=36) during 78 games for the Wild this year.
