Houston Aeros players, Chilly, staff and members of Sonic Boom and Strike Force spent Wednesday evening at Reliant Center building children’s bikes for Elves & More
. Elves & More builds and distributes bikes every Christmas to deliver to needy children in the Houston area. Chilly will spend Thursday afternoon helping to deliver the bikes to area neighborhoods. /Patrick O’Sullivan/Roman Voloshenko Nesting Doll. Saturday, the first 5,000 fans will get an Aeros Santa Hat. Saturday is also the Aeros’ annual Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new stuffed animal to the game to throw on the ice after the Aeros’ first goal. Toys will be distributed to Houston-area children.
Aeros recall pair from PensacolaHOUSTON, Texas -
The American Hockey League’s Houston Aeros have recalled forwards Adam Courchaine (core-SHANE) and Mark Rooneem (rooh-NEEM) from ECHL Pensacola, the teams announced Thursday. The pair was loaned to the Ice Pilots on November 22.
Courchaine has no points and is minus-one in six games for the Aeros this season. Rooneem has no points and 10 penalty minutes in five games for Houston. Courchaine is Pensacola’s leading goal scorer with 10 and is third on the Ice Pilots in points with 17 (10-7=17) despite playing in only 13 of his team’s 23 games. Courchaine was the ECHL’s Player of the Week for the week of November 28-December 4. Rooneem has six points (2-4=6) in 13 games for the Ice Pilots. --- Houston Aeros, Be a Fan ---
