The Boston Bruins are excited announce the return of their summer reading program, When you Read You Score! In partnership with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commission (MBLC), New Hampshire State Library, and the Maine State Library. The program encourages children and teens to avoid the “summer slide” and maintain the skills they’ve learned over the previous academic year.

Each visit will include:

• A visit from Blades, the Bruins mascot
• Arts and crafts
• Bruins giveaways
• And more!

Children and teens who participate in summer reading programs show an increase in vocabulary scores on standardized testing and an increase in comprehension scores. Reading just four books over the summer can prevent summer learning loss.

What better way to encourage summer reading than visiting your local library and supporting the B’s?
