Dallas Stars SuperSkills Hockey School To Be Held
From July 31 - August 4 in Frisco

FRISCO, Tex. -- The Dallas Stars have unveiled plans for the Inaugural Dallas Stars SuperSkills Hockey School to be held at the Dr Pepper StarCenter in Frisco from Monday, July 31 through Friday, August 4.

Run under the instruction of Stars Assistant Coach Mark Lamb and Video Coach Derek MacKinnon, the camp will focus on improving players' puck skills, skating and offensive creativity. The price for the camp will be $395 per player and will run from 7 a.m. - 1 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

"This will be a great opportunity for hockey players to get a chance to see first-hand what it is like to train like a professional," said Lamb. "It will be an experience that will last a lifetime for each person and I know the coaches are very excited to lend their hockey knowledge to the players participating."

Lamb, 41, will enter his fourth season as an assistant coach for Dallas next year. He has spent most of his tenure with Dallas working with the Stars offensive and younger players like Jussi Jokinen, Antti Miettinen and Steve Ott. He has also served as an assistant coach with the Edmonton Oilers and played in 403 career NHL games with six different teams.

MacKinnon, 32, will begin his third season as the Stars Video Coach, focusing on the use of video to improve Stars players' skill development and to prepare for opponents. A former junior and collegiate hockey player in Canada, he has over 12 years of hockey school instruction experience including working with players in North America, Europe and Asia.
