Prospect Report
by Mark Stepneski / Dallas StarsIt came as no surprise that forward Denis Gurianov, Dallas’ first-round pick in 2015, was named to Russia’s selection camp roster for the 2016 World Junior Championship. Russia announced the roster last week. The camp got started on Saturday with 28 players vying to play at the tournament, which begins Dec. 26 in Finland.
Forward Roope Hintz, the Stars’ second-round pick in 2015, is attending Finland’s World Junior selection camp, which got underway Sunday. Hintz, who played for Finland at the 2015 World Juniors, is among 14 forwards at this year’s camp.
