Dallas Stars Make Changes To Business Operations

Dallas Stars President and CEO Jim Lites announced today that Brad Alberts has been named the club's Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer. He also announced that Kelly Calvert has joined the team as its Vice President of Marketing. The moves were made as part of the organization's continued efforts to solidify the business operations.

Brad Alberts was appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Revenue Officer after previously serving as the Executive Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the team. He will now oversee corporate sponsorships, communications, ticket sales, broadcasting, marketing, and in-game entertainment. He also serves on the American Airlines Center Board and is instrumental in all aspects of strategic planning.

Over Alberts' 10 years in various sponsorship roles, he has had a big hand in making American Airlines Center one of the top ranked revenue buildings in the NHL and NBA. He was a part of the team that sold the naming rights deal to Ameriquest Mortgage Company for the Texas Rangers Ballpark, and was instrumental in making the Dallas Stars one of the top ranked revenue organizations in the NHL.

Alberts received his bachelor's degree in history from Ripon College in 1992 and earned his master's degree in sports administration from the University of Northern Colorado in 1995. Alberts serves on the Board of Directors for After-School All-Stars, Launchability, and is a member of the SMU Athletic Forum Board.

Alberts and his wife, Kate, live in Southlake and have one daughter, Grace.

Kelly Calvert joins the Stars after working 16 years with the Texas Rangers Baseball Club where she most recently served as the Assistant Vice President of Marketing.

No stranger to the Stars organization, Calvert previously worked for the team from 1999-2002 under Southwest Sports Group. Now as Vice President of Marketing, she will oversee advertising, promotions, interactive media, and community development.

Calvert brings a wealth of experience overseeing all aspects of marketing, including brand management, advertising, media planning and placement, website and email communications, Hispanic marketing, broadcasting, publications, and business communication. She helped lead the team that capitalized on a resurgence of the Texas Rangers in the Dallas/Fort Worth marketplace, establishing club records in 2012 for sellouts (38) and overall attendance (over 3.4 million). Last season, Texas enjoyed the third-highest average attendance in Major League Baseball.

A native of Abilene, Texas, Calvert earned her bachelor's degree from Texas A&M University in agribusiness. She also holds a master of science degree, also from Texas A&M, in agricultural development with an emphasis in leadership studies. She currently resides in Arlington with her husband Kris.
