by Staff Writer / Dallas Stars

Frisco, Tex. – The Dallas Stars announced today that individual tickets for October and November regular season home games go on sale to the public on Friday, September 10, at 10 a.m. (CT). Exciting match-ups include Opening Night vs. the Detroit Red Wings on Oct. 14, the Pittsburgh Penguins on Nov. 3 (Sidney Crosby’s only visit to Dallas), and the traditional day-after-Thanksgiving game on Nov. 26 vs. the St. Louis Blues, along with several big Saturday night games.

Fans can purchase tickets through, by calling 214-GO-STARS, or through

The Stars are also introducing something new to fans this season - paperless ticketing. The Stars are the first NHL team in North America to offer Ticketmaster’s paperless delivery method for all individual game purchases through and By choosing paperless delivery, fans can choose to have their tickets delivered electronically, similar to an electronic airline ticket. Prior to entering American Airlines Center, fans simply present the credit card used to purchase their tickets with a valid photo ID to the ticket taker at the door. The ticket taker will swipe the fan’s credit card and print out a seat locator slip for the fan to enter the arena and find their seat(s). Paperless tickets helps avoid lost, stolen or counterfeit tickets, and there is no service delivery charge. More information can be found at The Stars will also continue to offer traditional printed tickets for fans that want it, including the ability to print tickets at home or work from their own printer.

“We’re very excited about offering Ticketmaster’s paperless ticket delivery method to our fans,” said Stars Executive Vice President Geoff Moore. “We’ve always prided ourselves in trying to stay ahead of the curve with technology and this is another example. The paperless ticketing system is very efficient. We think our fans will appreciate the ease and convenience of it when purchasing tickets to Stars games.”

The Stars will also utilize dynamic ticket pricing again for single-game tickets in both the Platinum Level and Upper Level this season (the club introduced the concept to only Upper Level seats last year). Dynamic pricing allows real-time market conditions and consumer demand to set the right price at the right time using an algorithm-based software application. The application is designed to respond to changing conditions related to each individual game.

The best prices are often found early. Dynamic pricing will provide fans with great prices starting from the initial on-sale on Sept. 10. The ticket prices can go up or down based on a variety of factors, including league standings, opposing team, star players, day of the week, and real time supply and demand. Dynamic pricing for Platinum Level and Upper Level tickets will continue all season. Fans will be able to check out the current prices at any time at The Stars were the first NHL team to adopt the use of dynamic ticket pricing.

Individual tickets for Stars home games from December & January will go on sale on Nov. 4, while February, March & April games will go on sale on Dec. 27. However, fans interested in these games now can purchase a partial season ticket plan today and pick their games from the entire 41-game regular season home schedule. Call 214-GO-STARS or visit for more information.
