AHL West Finals Has Stars Flavor

by Staff Writer / Dallas Stars

Some Dallas Stars prospects remain busy during the post-season.

Mark Fistric, Raymond Sawada and Maxime Fortunus are all playing for the Manitoba Moose, who are set to compete in the Western Conference Finals in the American Hockey League (AHL). Manitoba awaits the winner of the Houston Aeros-Milwaukee Admirals series, which is going to a seventh game. Stars prospects Matt Climie and John Lammers both play for Houston, so the West Finals might have a bit of Stars flavor to it. The West Finals are set to begin this Friday in Winnipeg.

Sawada has two goals and three assists in 10 playoff games so far, while Fistric has a goal with three helpers. Fortunus has two goals and two assists (including two power play goals).

Climie has appeared in three games for Houston with no decisions in any of the games (his playing time has come in relief). He has not given up a goal in 50 minutes of play, stopping all 25 shots he has faced. Lammers has two assists in 11 games for Houston.
