2007 Dallas Stars Ice Breaker is Coming Soon!

by Staff Writer / Dallas Stars

It’s the beginning of September and it’s hot outside. And you know what that means – IT’S ALMOST HOCKEY SEASON!

Dallas Stars Training Camp is just around the corner with the boys hitting the ice for the first practice in Frisco on September 14. But before the first official practice, it is time for the first official event to introduce your 2007-08 Dallas Stars team and “break the ice” on a new season.

The 2007 Dallas Stars Ice Breaker presented by Galleria Dallas will take place on Saturday, September 8 and features Dallas Stars players signing autographs from 11 am – 1 pm (Ralph & Razor will be on hand as well with the Ice Girls too!).

Partners for the Ice Breaker include the Cumulus Radio Group (Sports Radio 1310 The Ticket, 93.3 The Bone, 99.5 The Wolf), FSN Southwest, My 27,, and Carter BloodCare. The Ticket will broadcast live from the event with the Orphanage and Ben & Skin. Most of the event will take place at the center of the Galleria, with autograph locations on every level near the ice rink. Carter BloodCare will also be taking blood donations on the rink level. Come out and give blood and walk away with a cool “Give Blood, Play Hockey” T-shirt.

Fans in attendance can register to win an autographed Stars jersey right off the back of one of the players at the Ice Breaker. A different jersey winner will be drawn every 15 minutes during the event. All jerseys will be given away at the end of the afternoon and fans need not be present during actual drawings to win. All winners’ names will also be posted on

Jeff K and Celena Rae will be on hand for the Ice Breaker and will announce jersey winners as well as interview players and fans. The Dallas Stars Ice Girls will also be in attendance. Fans can skate with the Ice Girls on the Galleria Dallas ice as well as meet some of them around the autograph lines (having pictures taken with the girls is welcomed).

“We’re so excited that hockey season is about to begin again and the Dallas Stars Ice Breaker is a great way to get things started,” said Stars President Jim Lites. “We are delighted to have the event hosted by Galleria Dallas and supported by the Cumulus Radio Group, Carter BloodCare,, FSN Southwest and My 27. It should be a very fun day.”
