2004 NHL STREETSTARS CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT PRESENTED

TO BE HELD SATURDAY, JULY 17th AT FORT WORTH ZOO
Dallas Stars Alumnus Craig Ludwig to Sign Autographs at Event from 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
FRISCO, Tex. -- The best of local youth street hockey teams will face-off on Saturday, July 17, at the sponsored by the Dallas Stars Foundation, POWERade and the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. of North Texas. The single-elimination tournament will feature 12 teams from across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex competing for the championship title in three age divisions. Competition begins at 10:30 a.m. at the Fort Worth Zoo (1989 Colonial Parkway, Fort Worth, 76110). Stars alumnus and two-time Stanley Cup champion Craig Ludwig will be on hand to sign autographs for participants and spectators from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
In addition to tournament play and autographs, the event will feature fun kids activities such as a bouncey house, a slapshot cage, and an obstacle course, and spectators will have the opportunity to sign up for great prize giveaways. Younger fans will also have the chance to join the POWERade Jr. Stars Club. All activities are free once inside the park. Zoo admission fees are $9.75 per adult (13+), $7.25 per child (3-12), $6.25 per senior (65+), and free for toddlers two years-old & under. Parking fee is $5 per vehicle.
NHL StreetStars is the Dallas arm of NHL Street -- a program that provides street hockey equipment to public recreation centers, Boys & Girls Clubs, YMCAs, and community centers. Kids ages 6-15 have the opportunity to learn the rules of hockey while practicing teamwork and goal-setting. NHL StreetStars is currently operating in 15 centers throughout the Metroplex with over 1,500 youth participants each year.
