The Detroit Red Wings ”Best in Class” program, presented by Coca-Cola and Meijer, sets out to show thanks and gratitude to Michigan teachers and educators who change the lives of millions of children every day, inside and outside the classroom.
Throughout the 2025-26 season, seventy-five teachers will be recognized though our “Best in Class” program. Fans are encouraged to nominate a teacher who they feel has a significant impact on the lives of children in their community by completing the online form below.

Awards & Prizes
Selected teachers will receive an award, a complimentary pre-game dinner at Little Caesars Arena and two tickets to a pre-determined Red Wings home game. In April, one teacher will be selected as our “Best in Class” grand prize winner and will receive a $5,000 grant and a post-game meet and greet with a Detroit Red Wings player!
Who Can Be Nominated
A nominee for the "Best in Class" program must be an individual educator in Michigan who has improved student achievement, used innovative strategies in the classroom and/or is making a difference in the lives of their students.
Michigan educators at all grade levels (K-12) and disciplines are eligible for consideration. The Red Wings, Coca-Cola, and Meijer will review all nominations and select 25 teachers to honor for each of the following games:
- November 13th, 2025
- January 27th, 2026
- March 4th, 2026

Please Note: The nomination process is rolling. If a nominee is not selected, their nomination will remain up for consideration. There is no need to submit the same nomination for the same nominee unless the nomination contains new information to support the nominee. Previously honored teachers are not eligible for this year’s program.
