VTA Offers Free Shuttles For Sharks Games

by Staff Writer / San Jose Sharks

As San Jose Sharks fans celebrate the start of the 2005-06 National Hockey League season, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) will drop the puck on its Sharks Shuttle to get patrons to the games.

In cooperation with the San Jose Sharks and the City of San Jose Downtown Parking Board, VTA will offer FREE shuttle bus service before and after all HP Pavilion home games starting with the pre-season opener against the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday, Sept. 18.

The FREE Sharks Shuttle begins service one hour and fifteen minutes (75 minutes) before game time and runs approximately every five minutes during the pre-game service.  The shuttle makes its last trip 30 minutes after the game ends.  The Sharks Shuttle travels along First, Second, and Santa Clara streets stopping at VTA's Santa Clara Street and Paseo de San Antonio Light Rail Stations.  The shuttle also stops along Santa Clara Street for patrons traveling to and from downtown parking facilities and restaurants.

Sharks Shuttle bus headsigns are clearly marked "San Jose Sharks" and shuttle stops will read "Sharks Shuttle" on the stop signs.
