Happy returns. For the most part, that has been the feeling since the Sharks return from an Olympic break. It was a condensed road swing that saw three games in four days all on the eastern coast. And it took a third period of which the Sharks have not enjoyed in a while, to categorize the trip as a successful reentry to the NHL season.
Another reminder that Winter exists outside of the California hockey oasis.
And the Sharks next road trip to the east is another three-in-four on the weekend.

The fun ended just minutes later when Adam Henrique got the Devils on the board. And things looked even more dismal after the Devils took a lead in the period.
But Raffi Torres did not let Couture enjoy all the return fun and got some help from, most likely, the Sharks MVP of the season on a beautiful give-and-go.
