Here are some 2011-12 highlights from Dan Boyle:
  • 2nd amongst League defensemen in with 252 shots, which set a career high
  • 8th amongst League defensemen in points (9-39=48), which were fifth most overall on San Jose
  • T-14th amonst League defensemen in power play points (3-14=17)
  • 3rd on the team in blocked shots (137)
  • 56th all-time amongst defensemen in points (125-380=505), T-54th in goals and 58th in assists
  • Recorded his 500th career point on his first of two assists vs. Colorado on March 26. He became the fourth undrafted defensemen in League history to record 500 points joining Borje Salming (787), Steve Duchesne (752) and Brian Rafalski (515)
  • His goal on March 20 at Los Angeles made him the highest goal-scoring d-man in team history surpassing Sandis Ozolinsh
