Sharks Recall Dylan DeMelo

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks (@SanJoseSharks) General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Dylan DeMelo (@ddems2) from the San Jose Barracuda (@sjbarracuda) of the American Hockey League (@theAHL).

DeMelo, 22, has posted two goals, two assists and 26 shots in 33 games with the Sharks this season. He has appeared in 14 games with the Barracuda, recording five assists and 21 shots on goal.

A six-foot-one, 195-pound native of London, Ontario, DeMelo was originally drafted by San Jose in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2011 NHL Draft.

Additionally, forward Tommy Wingels was activated off of injured reserve.
