Sharks Reassign McGinn and Vesce

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned forwards Ryan Vesce and Jamie McGinn to the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Vesce has played in eight games with San Jose this season, posting five points (3-2=5). Prior to missing seven games due to a lower body injury from Oct. 25 – Nov. 7, he posted a four game point streak in San Jose.

In 11 games with Worcester this season, Vesce has posted 10 points (4-7=11).

The five-foot-eight, 165-pound native of Lloyd Harbor, NY was signed by San Jose as a free agent on Aug. 12, 2008.

McGinn has played in 25 games with San Jose this season, posting five goals (5-0=5) and 12 penalty minutes.

With Worcester, he has posted six points (3-3=6) and a +6 plus/minus rating in five games.

The six-foot, 185-pound native of Fergus, Ontario native was originally selected by San Jose in the second round (36th overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
