Sharks Reassign Center Tomas Plihal To Worcester

San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has reassigned center Tomas Plihal to the Worcester Sharks.
Plihal played in his first two NHL games on Jan. 26 at Edmonton and Jan. 27 at Vancouver, posting eight shots, no points or penalty minutes and an even rating.
In 34 games with Worcester this season, Plihal has posted 11 points (four goals, seven assists).
The six-foot-one, 195-pound native of Frydlant, Czech Republic was selected by San Jose in the fifth round (140th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft.
