On Oct. 20, the San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce hosted the “Spirit of Silicon Valley” Breakfast honoring the San Jose Sharks. It was the second year the Chamber of Commerce hosted the Sharks, local businesses and fans with a breakfast to celebrate the beginning of the hockey season.
Fans and businesses were invited to attend the event and were encouraged to sponsor different tables. Those in attendance were able to mingle with other local business owners, Sharks players, coaches and executives.
The fans were introduced to the new coaching staff and players and were able to hear about Todd McLellan’s plans for the team.
”It’s fun to get out and meet people in the community and raise money for the foundation,” said Jody Shelley.
The breakfast was held at the Fourth Street Summit Center in downtown San Jose. Proceeds from the breakfast benefited the Sharks Foundation.
”This is a wonderful way to raise money for the Sharks Foundation and introduce our players to many in the community who support us,” said Sharks Chief Executive Officer and President Greg Jamison.
