Sharks Ice Hosts 2008 LIVESTRONG Day

Partner for 2008 LIVESTRONG Day - May 13, 2008

On Tuesday, May 13, Sharks Ice at San Jose will be donating all of the proceeds from our evening Public Session, held 8:00-10:00pm, to the Lance Armstrong Foundation on behalf of our Sharks Ice patrons. Admission is $11 for adults and $10 for children 12 & under, including skate rental. Patrons will have the opportunity to pledge additional donations to the Lance Armstrong Foundation at the event. Additionally, autographed San Jose Sharks items will be raffled off throughout the evening, with all proceeds donated to the LAF. Those who cannot attend the event, but still wish to donate to the Lance Armstrong Foundation may do so by contacting Marjorie Taylor at and your pledge will be included in our total donation from Sharks Ice.

LIVESTRONG Day is the Lance Armstrong Foundation's one-day initiative to raise awareness and funds for the cancer fight. This year more than 500 events will take place in communities across the country. For more information about LIVESTRONG Day, visit

Patrons, employees, and friends of our Sharks Ice family have been affected by cancer. By teaming with the Lance Armstrong Foundation, and supporting LIVESTRONG Day 2008, Sharks Ice is proud to be a part of raising funds and awareness for the cancer fight.

What else can you do?
Wear yellow for LIVESTRONG Day on May 13 and encourage friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to do the same. Purchase official LIVESTRONG clothing and merchandise online at Proceeds from the LIVESTRONG store benefit the Lance Armstrong Foundation. Organize a group to volunteer at your local cancer hospital/clinic or other cancer related organization.
