PAVELSKI GAINING ON MARKS
Rookie center Joe Pavelski
is just one power play goal away from setting the Sharks franchise record for power play strikes by a rookie in a season. He scored his franchise-tying fifth on Thursday night with the game-winner against the Detroit Red Wings. He has now scored the game-winning goal in both of his games against the Detroit Red Wings. His next game-winning will tie a Sharks rookie record held by Niko Dimitrakos (4 in 2003-04).
The Sharks will host the Edmonton Oilers at 7:30 p.m. to complete a three-game homestand on Wednesday. Limited tickets are still available at the HP Pavilion Box Office and at www.ticketmaster.com. The game will be carried on FSN Bay Area, 98.5 KFOX and sjsharks.com.
