San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Derek Joslin from the Worcester Sharks.
Joslin, 22, is tied for the Worcester lead with four points (0-4=4) in three games. He posted three assists in Worcester’s most recent contest at Lowell on Oct. 10. In 2008-09, he made his NHL debut with San Jose appearing in 12 games without recording a point.
Joslin is expected to play tonight against Washington and was paired with Kent Huskins at the morning skate. At the day of game skate Todd McLellan noted to the media that Douglas Murray
may miss the contest as he is under the weather.
The six-foot-one, 210-pound native of Richmond, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
