Selected by the Sharks in the sixth round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Clowe has proven to be a valuable member of the Sharks. He established career highs in assists, points, shots, games played and penalty minutes during the 2009-10 season. The 28-year-old native of Fermueuse, Newfoundland was named alternate captain for this season, and recently posted his 100th assist by recording three points (a goal and two assists) vs. Calgary on Nov. 13.

Off the ice, Clowe’s favorite hobbies are fishing and golfing. In 2009, Clowe played in a charity golf tournament in his hometown raising more than $300,000 for R.E.A.L., an organization that helps underprivileged kids participate in sports.
