First drafted by the Sharks in 2003, Pavelski continues to be successful member of the team with his offensive abilities. The 26-year-old native of Stevens Point, Wisconsin currently leads the franchise in shots (42), and recorded his 100th career assist on Oct. 30 vs. Anaheim. In the 2009-10 season he tied his career-high with 25 goals.
In 2010, Pavelski won a silver medal as a member of the US national men’s ice hockey team at the Winter Olympics. He had 3 assists in the competition and was second in faceoff percentage among all players in the tournament.
Pavelski and his wife Sarah celebrated the birth of their first child, Nathan Joseph, on October 26. He played vs. New Jersey less than 24-hours later on October 27 and led the team with seven shots.
