Do you follow Setoguchi on Twitter? If you don’t, he announced on Tuesday that he would be donating $5,000 to cancer research on behalf of his Grandma and his Twitter followers. Setoguchi, who makes yearly donations to the American Cancer Society, lost his Grandma to Stage Four cancer on Christmas Day in 2009.

"This is a personal thing for me with losing my Grandma,” Setoguchi said. “But this is something that affects everyone’s lives. I wanted to do something because of personal experience but also because it feels good to help.”

Setoguchi plans to make the donation when he returns to San Jose.
