Branden and Michael McCall might have felt like the biggest winners of them all at the Bell/Ottawa Senators Charity Golf Classic.
The twin brothers, who use the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) for treatment of their cystic fibrosis, got a big-league thrill as they took centre stage before the 14th annual event teed off.
Branden and Michael faced off with Senators captain Daniel Alfredsson
and defenceman Wade Redden on Friday at The Marshes Golf Club in Kanata.
Players and coaches hit the links Friday at the charity event, which raised more than $850,000 for CHEO in 13 previous tournaments.
On Saturday morning, it’s back to business for the Senators players, who hit the ice at the Bell Sensplex for the first on-ice session of the training camp that will set the stage for the 2007-08 season.
