Sens practicing in Pittsburgh

by Chris Lund / Ottawa Senators

The Sens are having a (mandatory) practice in Pittsburgh currently after yesterday's optional skate. As we can see above, Jakob Silfverberg was putting in some extra strength work earlier today as well.

Looks like there will be some lineup changes heading into Game 2 with the prospective return of Guillaume Latendresse with the corresponding move being Matt Kassian checking out. Again, as we know with Coach MacLean & Co., this is all speculative until the final roster sheet is put out before puck drop, but it's a good bet.

Here's how they look at practice today:

Conacher - Turris - Alfredsson

Michalek - Zibanejad - Silfverberg

Latendresse - Smith - Neil

Greening - Pageau - Condra

Methot - Karlsson

Cowen - Gonchar

Phillips - Benoit

You'll also take care to note that Andre Benoit appears to be taking Eric Gryba's place after Gryba sustained an upper body injury in Game 1. Coach MacLean said yesterday that the Gryba may be available for Friday, but he is not on the ice today and Benoit appears to be taking his place on a permanent basis.

Updates to follow as they come.
