The Ottawa Senators will have a chance to clinch tonight and they'll take the task on using a lineup they haven't been able to put together all season long thanks to the returns of Erik Karlsson
and Jared Cowen
There will only be one change from Monday's game against the Penguins as Patrick Wiercioch checks out and Karlsson takes his place. The reserves, outside of that one switch, remain the same from last game.
The Sens have undergone some massive line shuffling by the looks of things however, as they try to spark some offence from a lineup that has two goals total in its last two games.
Here's how the Sens will look to start.
Conacher - Turris - Michalek
Greening - Smith - Alfredsson
Condra - Zibanejad - Silfverberg
Latendresse - Pageau - Neil
Methot - Karlsson
Cowen - Gonchar
Phillips - Gryba
The Caps have clinched their division crown and are locked into the third spot in the Eastern Conference. As such, it's not a huge surprise that they will be starting Michal Neuvirth in goal tonight over Braden Holtby, despite Holtby playing very well during last Thursday's game between these two. Other than that, Washington is more or less the same team as a week ago.
Here's how they will line up to start...
Johansson - Backstrom - Ovechkin
Erat - Ribeiro - Brouwer
Chimera - Perreault - Fehr
Volpatti - Hendricks - Beagle
Alzner - Green
Erskine - Carlson
Hillen - Oleksy
The Sens are 3-2-1 all-time against the Capitals under Paul MacLean.
