Ottawa Senators pre-season hockey is back on Rogers TV.
The local community television station will present a pair of Molson Senators Pre-Season Hockey
telecasts from Scotiabank Place in the next week: Saturday at 7 p.m. against the New York Rangers and again on Sept. 24, when the Philadelphia Flyers pay a visit to the nation's capital (also a 7 p.m. start).
Ed Hand provides the play-by-play commentary, with colour commentator Lee Versage, former Senators forward Shaun Van Allen and Ian Mendes, the host of Molson Senators Overtime
and Rogers Sportsnet's Senators beat reporter, filling out the broadcast crew.
"Sens fans can count on Rogers TV (Channel 22) for th exclusive first look at this year's new Ottawa Senators," said station manager Ray Skaff. "This pre-season coverage is a powerful way of kicking off our new jam-packed sports schedule and a demonstration of our commitment to being Ottawa's local sports authority."
With TSN carrying the Senators' matchup against the Montreal Canadiens on Sept. 27, all of Ottawa's home pre-season games will be available to fans on television.
