Our new home, your new home

by Rob Brodie / Ottawa Senators
Off-season? What off-season?

It’s been anything but for your Ottawa Senators, as they did a little summer renovation, adding the many talents of Alex Kovalev to what promises to be an exciting new lineup for the 2009-10.

Along the same lines, the good folks who bring you have been quite busy themselves. The result is what you see today: a brand new home that we’re all pretty proud of, if you don’t mind us saying so.

Like any new home owner, we’re eager to show off our digs. And being the good hosts that we are, we’re extending a standing invitation to every member of the Sens Army to pay us a visit as often as you like.

We have no doubt you’ll like what you see as you tour around the new Want to see the best in Senators video? Hit the handy new Sens TV tab at the top of the page and you’ll find all kinds of exclusive content about your favourite team. We’ve also made it easy to find the best of the best with the “ This Week” module you’ll find just below what we call the “dynamic lead” window that is your doorway to the latest Senators news.

As well, we've enhanced the window for our photo galleries, giving visitors their choice of three different ways to view the pictures.

Sens TV is also the place to be for exclusive live coverage of the many press conferences that occur at Scotiabank Place during the season, like Wednesday’s Jason Smith retirement announcement. We’ve also got a hot new weekly Sens Show planned that will be must-see TV for every Sens fan. Stay tuned for more on that.

Speaking of the fans …

We’ve made quite the “guest room,” if you will, for every member of the Sens Army. It’s called Sens Central and it’s where you want to be to interact with other passionate Senators fans, share photos and blogs, and a whole lot more. All of it is run by an application called KickApps that we think kicks … well, you get the picture.

Sign up today to become a Sens Central member and a world of fun awaits you.

You see, while it’s our new home, we’d like you to think of it as your home, too. Stop by often and stay as long as you like. We’re pretty confident you’ll soon come to think of us as your source for the best in Senators information.

Of course, your input about everything you see here is always welcome. Drop us an e-mail at and let us know what you think.
