by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that the club has recalled forward Mike Hoffman from its American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators. The team also announced that it has re-assigned defenceman Mark Borowiecki and forward Derek Grant to the B-Sens.

Hoffman, 24, has recorded team-highs of 11 goals and 15 assists in 21 games for Binghamton this season. His 26 points see him rank second among all AHL players in scoring. Hoffman has been held pointless in four career National Hockey League contests, including three during the 2012-13 regular season.

Originally selected by Ottawa in the fifth round (130th overall) of the 2009 NHL Draft, Hoffman has recorded 128 points (52 goals, 76 assists) and 108 penalty minutes over 212 career AHL games, all of which have been with Binghamton.

Borowiecki, 24, scored one goal (the first of his NHL career) and added 48 penalty minutes in 13 games with Ottawa following his recall on Nov. 2. Grant, 23, recorded two assists (including his first NHL point) in 20 games following his recall on Oct. 18.

The Senators next see action on Tuesday, Dec. 3, when they visit the Florida Panthers at 7:30 p.m.
