News Release: Red Zone returns to Canadian Tire Centre on Sunday

by Staff Writer / Ottawa Senators

OTTAWA – The Ottawa Senators (@Senators) announced today that Canadian Tire Centre (@CdnTireCtr) will once again host Red Zone pre-game festivities at each of the team’s home dates throughout the 2015 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Beginning this Sunday, April 19, ahead of the Senators’ Game 3 match-up with the Montreal Canadiens, the venue’s Gate 1 plaza will serve as the primary meeting place for Sens fans.

The Red Zone will include the return of the Molson Canadian Hockey House, which will feature an expanded licensed area and a ’10 x ’20 LED screen that will show each game in its entirety, in addition to concessions and the Molson Canadian shootout fridge. The Molson Extreme Team will also be on-site to distribute prizes.

TSN 1200 will once again broadcast live from the Red Zone during pre-game festivities, while the plaza will also feature a DJ and food trucks after their successful debut in 2013. Food trucks will include Sens House, The Glen (in Stittsville) and Fatboys Southern Smokehouse. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet and interact with members of the Sens Alumni at both the Scotiabank and Metroland Media tents.

Also in the Red Zone, fans will have an opportunity to pose with the Senators team photo, presented by Sens Rewards Mastercard, while facepainting, courtesy of Bell, will also help fans display their unity and passion.

The Red Zone will open at 4 p.m. on weekend dates and at 5 p.m. for week night contests.

Interactive events are subject to inclement weather. Senators fans are encouraged to visit the team’s social properties for updates on timing.

As was announced on Wednesday, the Senators are also reminding fans that Canadian Tire Centre will once again open its doors for tonight’s Game 2 broadcast on the Bell HD Screen. Doors to Canadian Tire Centre will open at 6 p.m. with fans asked to use the Gate 1 entrance for building access.

Parking and admission to Canadian Tire Centre this evening will be free. The Senators are encouraging fans to bring a non-perishable food item as the Ottawa Senators Foundation will once again be accepting canned goods for the Ottawa Food Bank.

Canadian Tire Centre will be open until the end of the game. Visit for more information.
