OTTAWA - In recognition of Andrew “The Hamburglar” Hammond’s historical pursuit of Senators’ and National Hockey League records, the Ottawa Senators (@Senators) and TSN 1200 are partnering to provide the first 10,000 fans attending tomorrow’s 7:30 p.m. home game against the Boston Bruins at Canadian Tire Centre with a Hamburglar mask.
The giveaway has been inspired by Hammond’s sensational play of late, which has helped the Senators climb to within four points of the Bruins in the chase for the Eastern Conference’s final wild card position. In his next start, Hammond will have the opportunity to become the first goaltender in NHL history to allow no more than two goals in each of his first 13 career starts after tying the record set by the Bruins’ Frank Brimsek in 1938 in Tuesday’s 2-1 overtime win at Carolina.
To coincide with March Break, the Senators have also announced that Thursday’s morning skate will be open to the public as part of the Sens Gameday Experience program, presented by Esso. General admission and parking is free of charge with non-perishable food donations being accepted on site for the Ottawa Food Bank. Canadian Tire Centre doors will open at 10 a.m. while the team is scheduled to take to the ice 30 minutes later.
Fewer than 2,000 tickets remain for Thursday’s home game against Boston and Saturday’s 7 p.m. home contest against Toronto. Great seats are available in all sections and can be purchased by visiting www.CapitalTickets.ca, by phone at 613-599-FANS (3267) or 1-877-788-FANS (3267); in person at each of the 10 participating Canadian Tire stores in Ottawa as well as the store in Perth, The Sens Store at Carlingwood Mall and Place d’Orléans, any Ottawa Sports Experts location, Les Galeries de Hull, Ottawa Festivals and at the Canadian Tire Centre box office.
